All of Our N.Y.C. classes are held in the theater district near 54th street and Broadway.
Sing For The Stage has an amazing roster of New York City pianists, many of whom currently play in the orchestra pit of Wicked on Broadway as well as other major Broadway shows.
Alisa feels it is vital to have accompanists of the highest professional quality and standard.
In the studio we are to able to recreate the professional audition dynamic and all the components that go into preparing for an audition from ,voice technique, choice of music, often known as Book Building, as well as the story you are telling through your song to the moment you enter the audition room.
Here is what artists have to say about Alisa and Sing For The Stage:
Alisa is a fun, vibrant teacher who immediately sets her students at ease with her down-to-earth sense of humor. She has a special knack for identifying her students’ roadblocks—physical and psychological, and helping them work through them. If you find yourself struggling with your voice, your book, your fears about auditioning or performing, give Alisa a few minutes and she’ll probably have found the source of your struggle. Not for those who want to coexist with the very things that are holding them back!
Alisa’s guidance in developing healthy vocal habits, strong audition techniques and acting choices is useful to someone already belting out 8 shows a week, or to someone for whom the thought of singing and acting at the same time is new and scary. I highly recommend her!
