Walter Thompson
Walter is a New York City based accompanist who is delighted and honored to work with Alisa Endsley and play piano for Sing For The Stage! A New York native, Walter graduated from the Hartwick College School of Music in 2006 and is actively working in the NYC audition circuit.
You’ll find him covering keyboard books at WICKED Broadway, playing auditions and appointments at Telsey and Company Casting, numerous cruise ship calls, casting director workshops and various singer prep classes around New York City.
Jacob Yates
Jacob is a classically trained cellist and pianist originally from Lexington, Kentucky with a love for accompanying musical theater singers.
Jacob attended the Conservatory of Music (CCM) in Cincinnati, Ohio for Cello Performance under the teaching of Yehuda Hanani and Ilya Finkelshteyn. While in college he began to work with the Musical Theater program extensively. He played piano for over 3,000 voice lessons during his time there and constantly played piano and/or cello for the shows.
Since moving to New York Jacob has music directed many shows at 54 Below (1776, Band Geeks, Duets v.2, ect.), assisted on many readings of new shows, performed on keys for Broadway Sings Pink, and become a cello sub for the Broadway productions of Wicked and Les Mis. This summer he is heading to North Shore to Assistant Music Direct Dreamgirls!
Mason Griffin
Mason Griffin is a musical theater accompanist, coach, conductor, music director, and church organist. In New York City, his playing and teaching venues, past and present, include LaGuardia High School, Amas Musical Theatre, MTCA (Musical Theater College Auditions), The New York Film Academy, Applause NY, Broadway Classroom, The West End Bar and Lounge, Sing for Your Seniors, The United Nations International School, The M Center in Brooklyn, and music director of the current Off-Broadway production of Naked Boys Singing.
As music director and/or pianist, highlight shows include: RENT, Les Miserables, The Addams Family, Spelling Bee, A Funny Thing…Forum, Little Shop of Horrors, I Love a Piano, and Dreamgirls.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mason is the guest music director and conductor of Louisiana State University’s annual spring musical theater showcase Singo de Mayo. He frequently collaborates on new works, solo and group cabarets, and accompanies auditions throughout NYC. He has worked with industry pros such as Taylor Negron, Steve Martin, Laura Osnes, and Santino Fontana.
Mason has developed a show celebrating the world of Jerry Herman entitled No Blue Monday. Outside of the musical theater, Mason is a dedicatee and avid researcher of the life and music of John Cage.
